THE IRISH NATIONAL STUD
The Irish National Stud belongs to the people of Ireland but is enjoyed by visitors from all parts of the globe. Nowhere better symbolises all that is great about Co. Kildare, the beating heart of Ireland’s thoroughbred industry, than the stud, a unique attraction of outstanding natural beauty that is home to some of the most magnificent horses and sumptuous gardens in the world.
THE CURRAGH RACECOURSE
Ireland’s premier international horse racing venue staging 19 meetings from March to October including all 5 Irish classic races highlighted by the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival in June. It also hosts the Irish Guineas Festival and Darley Irish Oaks. The racecourse facilities feature a variety of bars and restaurants and a lively family area with playground and supervised crèche.
Punchestown Racecourse is the head quarters of National Hunt Racing in Ireland and host to the famous Irish National Hunt Festival that takes place in April each year. Punchestown is synomyonous with top quality horse racing and is a leading venue for corporate entertainment. The first recorded race meeting was held in Punchestown in 1824.
